National Cheng Kung University (NCKU) is a public institution located in Tainan, Taiwan. Founded in 1931 as Tainan Technical College, the university has since evolved into one of the most academically comprehensive research universities in the region.
NCKU has 11 colleges and one affiliated hospital. Home to more than 22,000 students and 2,000 faculty, the University is active in all areas critical to the quality and sustainability of life. Through the major contributions that our research, students and partnerships make to societies worldwide, we aspire to be the pride of Taiwan and an inspiration to Tainan.
