Visit of the Ohio State
In May 2024, a group from Ohio State University visited University of Tsukuba’s Institute of Health and Sport Sciences. The purpose was to learn about physical education and sports traditions at Tsukuba. They participated in various activities, including VR technology, wearable cyborgs, judo, kyudo, and interacting with Tsukuba students. They also visited local schools and learned about the school’s educational philosophy, took part in events, and interacted with the students by joining their classes.
In the same month, 13 engineering students and 2 faculty members from Ohio State University visited the University of Tsukuba as part of the JADE program. The visit included tours of engineering facilities, research presentations, cultural activities, and visits to JAXA and NIED. The students gave group presentations on inclusive smart society start-up proposals and had enjoyable interactions with Tsukuba students. The program utilized the JV-Campus online communication system, which facilitated smoother interactions.
