The 3EC-Sahel project “Water, Environment and Climate Challenges in the Sahel”, led by Université Grenoble Alpes, Abdou Moumouni University in Niamey, Niger, and the French Institute of Research for Development, has been awarded €2.78 million in funding over four years as part of the “African Higher Education Partnership” program. It aims to develop a training program in the field of water, environment and climate challenges, to meet the priority needs in skills for sustainable development in Niger and the Sahelian zone.
