Ruhr University Bochum has submitted three new draft proposals in the funding line „Clusters of Excellence” of the German “Excellence Strategy” competition

– Transforming Materials Science (designated speaker: Prof. Alfred Ludwig)
– ReThink – Memories of Tomorrow (designated speaker: Prof. Onur Güntürkün)
– Plasma Mining (designated speaker: Prof. Julia Tjus)

Full applications must be submitted in 2024. Funding is between 3 and 10 million € p.a. per cluster.
The Clusters RESOLV (Ruhr Explores Solvation) and CASA (Cyber Security in the Age of Large-Scale Adversaries) are already funded in the Excellence Strategy.
The aim of the Excellence Strategy is to strengthen Germany’s position as an outstanding place for research.
